Sliding glass doors have latches, which are less secure than locks. To add to the sliding glass door security, place a wooden bar (a metal bar is better) along the sliding door’s bottom track. This makes it impossible for someone standing on the outside to push the door open.
Another way to secure the sliding doors is to add a security pin. This greatly minimizes (or even prevents) the removing of the sliding door from the outside (the pin holds the two doors together).
